Independence Day Celebration
Join the City of McFarland for our Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 2, at Blanco Park. This free community event will feature food trucks, family fun, and a fireworks show in honor of America’s 250th Anniversary.
This event will be picnic-style. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their own food to enjoy an evening at the park with family and friends. Food trucks will also be available on site.
Admission is free and open to everyone.

Date: Thursday, July 2
Location: Blanco Park, 1000 E. Sherwood Ave.
Park Entry Begins: 6:30 PM
Fireworks Show: Slated to begin at 9:00 PM or dusk
The fireworks show will be launched from the east side of town and will be visible from Blanco Park and surrounding areas.
What to Bring
Attendees are welcome to bring:
Blankets
Lawn chairs
Personal food and snacks
Ice chests
Please note: No alcohol is allowed.
Security will be on site throughout the event. Attendees are asked to follow all posted rules and staff instructions to help ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for everyone.
Food Truck Vendor Information
At this time, all available food truck vendor spots for the event have been filled.
Food truck vendors interested in being placed on a waitlist or contacted if additional availability opens up may contact City Hall in person, call 661-792-3091, or email communitydevdept@cityofmcfarland.ca.gov.
Know Before You Go
The City of McFarland is excited to welcome the community to our Independence Day Celebration.
Gates will open at 6:30 PM. The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM or at dusk, depending on lighting and safety conditions.
