2026 McFarland Grape Festival Kids Art Contest

The City of McFarland invites young artists to participate in the 2026 McFarland Grape Festival Kids Art Contest!

In celebration of McFarland’s agricultural heritage and community pride, children and youth are invited to show us their creativity by answering this year’s art prompt:

What Does Agriculture Mean to You?

Participants may express what agriculture means to them through a drawing, painting, or photograph.

Who Can Participate?

The contest is open to all children and youth in grades K–12, regardless of what school they attend. Participants do not need to attend a McFarland Unified School District school to enter.

Entries will be divided into the following grade categories:

• Kindergarten–2nd Grade
• 3rd–5th Grade
• 6th–8th Grade
• 9th–12th Grade

Artwork Requirements

Artwork may be submitted as a drawing, painting, or photograph.

• Maximum artwork size: 8" x 11"
• Limit of one entry per student
• Each submission must include a completed Kids Art Contest Release Form signed by a parent or guardian.
• Complete and current contact information must be included with the submission.

Submission Deadline

All entries must be submitted by:

Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

Winners

Winners will be announced during the McFarland Grape Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Honorable Mentions may also be awarded to particularly notable submissions.
