Emergency Response Support Program
The McFarland Police Department’s Emergency Response Support Program is a voluntary resource designed to help officers and dispatch better assist residents during emergencies.
This program allows individuals, parents, caregivers, or guardians to share important information that may help first responders provide a safer, more informed response. Information such as communication preferences, emergency contacts, medical or behavioral considerations, wandering tendencies, triggers, calming strategies, and a current photo can help dispatch and responding personnel better understand an individual’s needs during a time-sensitive situation.
Who May Benefit
This program may be helpful for individuals who have:
- communication barriers
- developmental or cognitive disabilities
- autism or sensory-related needs
- medical conditions that may affect emergency interactions
- memory-related conditions
- behavioral or emotional response needs during stressful situations

The Emergency Response Support Information Form includes space for information such as:
- name and preferred name
- address and phone number
- physical description and current photo
- emergency contact information
- diagnoses, medical conditions, and medications
- communication methods and primary language
- wandering tendencies or frequent locations
- reactions, triggers, fears, and calming strategies
- other details that may assist emergency responders
How to Submit
Please complete the Emergency Response Support Information Form and return it with a current photo to MPD Dispatch.
