Public Hearing: Proposed Military Equipment Use Policy

The City of McFarland will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of an ordinance establishing a Military Equipment Use Policy.

The proposed policy addresses military equipment identified under state law and establishes guidelines related to its authorized use, acquisition and funding, training, oversight, and public accountability. The term “military equipment” is defined by state law and does not necessarily mean that the equipment was obtained from or previously used by the military.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide public comment regarding the proposed policy. The meeting will be held in person, with online access available for viewing or listening purposes. The City Council agenda will be posted at least 72 hours before the meeting and will include additional information regarding public participation.
