Waste Management Service Notice

Until the Street Rejuvenation Project is completed, with a projected end date of Friday, May 8, Waste Management will continue picking up trash cans on regularly scheduled service days. However, pickup may occur earlier than usual, before 7:00 AM, to allow crews to complete service before street work begins.

The City recommends that residents place their trash cans out the night before their scheduled pickup day to help ensure collection is not missed.

Street Rejuvenation Project Notice

The City of McFarland’s Street Rejuvenation Project is scheduled for Monday, May 4 through Friday, May 8, 2026.

Road work will take place on scheduled streets throughout the week. Residents and drivers should expect temporary road closures, traffic delays, and possible detours in work areas.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution near crews and equipment. Notices will also be provided to residents impacted by the work.

Public Hearing Notice: Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District No. 1

The City of McFarland will hold a public hearing during the regular City Council meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the City of McFarland Veteran’s Hall, 103 W. Sherwood Avenue, McFarland, CA 93250.

The public hearing will allow residents and interested individuals to provide input on the proposed annual assessments for the Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District No. 1 for Fiscal Year 2026/2027. These assessments help fund the operation and maintenance of improvements and services within the District.

The proposed assessment rate does not exceed the maximum rate previously authorized for the District and is subject to the annual inflation adjustment formula already established.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide comments. Written comments or questions may be submitted to Erika De La Cruz, City Clerk, at 401 W. Kern Avenue, McFarland, CA 93250, by phone at (661) 792-3091, or by email at cityclerk@cityofmcfarland.ca.gov.
