Construction Notice: Alley Drive Approach Repair on W. Kern Avenue

The City of McFarland will be completing alley drive approach repair work on the south alley drive approach located on W. Kern Avenue between 7th Street and 8th Street.

Construction activities will include sidewalk demolition, curb and gutter demolition, and the placement of new concrete.

The south entrance to the alley will be closed from 6:00 AM on Thursday, June 25, to 7:00 AM on Monday, June 29. Work is expected to begin Thursday, June 25, weather and field conditions permitting. Construction hours are anticipated to be Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

During construction, residents may experience temporary lane closures, traffic delays, construction equipment, increased noise levels, and temporary pedestrian detours.

Residents are asked to place trash and recycling bins on the street for Waste Management access, as trucks will not be able to drive through the alley during the closure.
