9th Annual McFarland USA Run

The McFarland USA Foundation is proud to present the 9th Annual McFarland USA Run, taking place on Saturday, April 25 at 7:00 AM in the City of McFarland.

This annual event celebrates the community spirit and legacy of McFarland while supporting local students through the McFarland USA Foundation Scholarship Fund. Participants will have the opportunity to run through the streets of historic McFarland, the community that inspired the story behind the McFarland USA film.

The event welcomes runners of all levels and offers multiple race options so community members of all abilities can participate.

Race Events

The McFarland USA Run will feature the following race events:

5K Run
A 5-kilometer race through the streets of historic McFarland.

10K Run
A 10-kilometer race that expands the course through additional parts of the community while still highlighting historic areas of McFarland.

Both the 5K and 10K races will begin at 7:00 AM on race day.

New This Year: McFarland USA Adaptive Run

New this year, the McFarland USA Foundation is introducing the McFarland USA Adaptive Run, a one-mile run designed to provide a welcoming and supportive race experience for individuals with special needs.

The Adaptive Run is intended to ensure that participants of all abilities have the opportunity to take part in the McFarland USA Run in an inclusive and encouraging environment.

Parents, guardians, or caregivers are strongly encouraged to accompany their runner during the Adaptive Run to provide support throughout the course.

The Adaptive Run is a separately registered event.

Registration is required for the Adaptive Run participant. If a parent, guardian, or caregiver would like to receive a race medal and event shirt, they must register separately. Parents or guardians who wish to accompany their participant without receiving a medal or shirt are welcome to do so without registering.

Participant Registration

Registration for the McFarland USA Run is now open.

Entry starts at $30 per participant.

Participants may register in several ways:

• Online through Active.com by searching for the McFarland USA Run
• By scanning the QR code provided on the race promotional materials
• In person at McFarland City Hall

Same-day registration will also be available on race day.

All registered runners will receive a race medal and event shirt.

Scholarship Fund Impact

The McFarland USA Run is more than a race. All proceeds from the event support the McFarland USA Foundation Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to graduating students from McFarland High School.

By participating in the race, runners help support the next generation of McFarland students as they pursue higher education opportunities.

Run Where the McFarland USA Story Was Born

Participants will run through the same streets and neighborhoods that inspired the story portrayed in the McFarland USA film. The race course highlights historic areas of the community connected to the legacy of perseverance, dedication, and community pride that define McFarland.
