Animal Control
The Community Development Department oversees the day to day operations of Animal Control services and its' facilities. The Animal Control Division consists of one full time officer and one part time officer. Animal Control Officers impound stray dogs found abandoned or lost within the community. They are proactive in their efforts to saving lives and seeking to give shelter to any animal impounded. They also strive to educate citizens on pet care, vaccinations, spay/neuter and city ordinances. Animals can be reclaimed by their owners, adopted, or rescued.
